Terron Wilkerson

How goes it fellow intellectuals, my name is Terron D. Wilkerson & I hail from the barren lands of Palmdale, California. I am a 3rd year Black Studies & Feminist Studies major & during the course of this school year, I will be your Administrative Vice President for the heralded Caribbean Student Collective!

I have much experience working with others—especially programming—seeing that I was involved in the University of California, Santa Barbara Residence Halls Association my 1st & 2nd years at UCSB as well as the Black Student Union, Associated Student, & various other organizations on campus. Due to these positions, I now recognize the most pressing needs of my fellow students & understand how to be a better, more effective student leader; furthermore, I am well equip & posses the skills necessary in order to assist in propelling the Caribbean Student Collective (CSC) towards the inevitable status of prominence that it has been on a crash course with since its inception in 2011.

As far as the CSC is concerned, my main concern this coming year will be to serve my duties to the best of my ability, as well as bring the executive board together as a whole. By bringing us together we can collectively be more effective & efficient in bringing others who identify as Caribbean—or show interest in being involved in the CSC—to our organization.

To one of the founders, Marcus Marshall, we are all proud of you & keep up the great work! To the other members of Caribbean Student Collective, I am overly excited to work with you all throughout the course of this year! To the Black community & UCSB campus as a whole, if you share in our excitement then don’t hesitate to join us, we would love to see your face at our next meeting! Carpe diem, live long & prosper.
